Occhio per occhio, anca per anca.... An eye for an eye, an hip for an hip....

E rieccomi in un letto d'ospedale. And here I am again in an hospital bed. Dopo oltre un anno durante il quale la convivenza con lo scomodo compagno di viaggio proseguiva senza troppi intoppi grazie alla chemioterapia adesso è arrivato nuovamente il momento di pagare il prezzo di questa convivenza. Questa volta si chiama osteonecrosi avascolare della testa femorale. I primi problemi sono iniziati un paio di mesi fà e domani ho l'intervento per la protesi totale dell'anca sinistra... Certo se il prezzo da pagare fosse stato l'occhio destro allora i problemi sarebbero stati più grossi. Oltre al bastone mi sarebbe servito anche il cane guida per ciechi. L'anca me la tolgono ma me ne mettono una nuova :-)
After more than a year of cohabitation with my travel buddy without too many problems thanks to the chemotherapy now it is time again to pay for a price. This time it is Femoral Head avascular Necrosis. The first problems started a couple of months ago and tomorrow I will do the surgey for the total hip prostheses. Well, if the price to pay was the right eye it would have be a much bigger problem. On top of the crutch I would have need also a guide dog. The hip is take away but then is replaced with a new one :-)
